Dali Mpofu (born Christopher Daluxolo Mpofu; 26 September 1962 in East London) is a South African lawyer and politician. He has occupied several notable positions in the South African political scene.

It is worth mentioning that he was the president of the SABC until 2009. His participation in politics could be traced back to the ’80s when he joined African National Congress (ANC). 

During his early days in politics, he deputized Winnie Madikizela-Mandela on the Social Development Department of the political party. Ever since he has managed to build his political and business career.

After he left the party, he became a member of another political party Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF). In the General Election that took place in 2014, Dr. Mpofu did not win the post he contested for – the Gauteng province.

Since then, Dali shifted his focus to business and has recorded many achievements so far. 

In 2005, he managed to bag one of the biggest roles in his career at the SABC and served until 2009. During his four years tenure, he served as the CEO.
