Ntombezinhle Jiyane (born 30 December 1983), professionally addressed as DJ Zinhle, is a South African disc jockey. She is also a businessperson, producer, and media personality.

She has been entertaining music lovers with her unique beats since 2004. Spending over seventeen years in the entertainment industry has gained her a strong presence. She has dropped many hit songs and collaborated with much-celebrated music personalities.

Early Life

DJ Zinhle was born Ntombezinhle Jiyane on 30 December 1983 in the former coal-mining town of Dannhauser in KwaZulu-Natal. She grew up there and has an older brother.

He has been there to inspire her and be a source of motivation. One of his influences on her was her decision to be a Disk Jockey. She had never wanted to be a deejay until he talked to her into it.

Education

She started and completed both her primary and high school academic pursuits in the country. She moved to Newcastle from Dannhauser. She attended Siyamukela High School in Emadadeni, Newcastle.

Career

She made her debut in the entertainment industry in 2004. At first, DJ Zinhle wanted to focus on being a presenter on television but didn’t get the opportunity. 

The disc jockey has a brother who was passionate about mixing vinyl. He managed to make her fall in love with deejaying and so she decided to try it out. She continued with it and her love for it could only wax stronger.

She rose to prominence across South Africa for being the disk jockey on the youth dance show Jika Majika. She continued to impress music lovers with her beats and uniqueness.

Her talent attracted more opportunities and she has collaborated with other notable personalities. With Boom Shaka, she worked on the album I Put It In.

Alongside Amanda Black, DJ Zinhle headline the Sisters with Soul concert. She also headlined the Zimfest 2019 live concert held in England.
