Elsabé Daneel (born August 15, 1955) is a veteran South African actress who has been acting since the eighties. She has appeared in many Afrikaans theatre, film, and television productions.
The multifaceted actress has appeared in many comedic and other serious roles. She is also a familiar face on many television series like 7de Laan, Afgrond, G.I.L, and Die Byl, among others.

Education
Elsabé Daneel studied at Jan van Riebeeck High School in Cape Town.
After matric, she enrolled at the University of Stellenbosch and obtained a B.A. degree in Languages, Psychology, and Drama Theory in 1976. Daneel also holds a Higher Teacher’s Diploma.
Career
Elsabé joined the film and television industry and made her first film appearance in 1981 in Beloftes van Môre.
She made her television debut as Ans in the comedy-drama series Koöperasiestories and appeared in episode two on May 4, 1983.
Since then, she has bagged many acting roles and has appeared in films like Eintlik Nogal Baie, The Recce, Appels en Bome, Strikdas, and Gideon Scheepers.
Daneel is also known for appearing in many dramatic and comedic roles. Among her famous is Deon Opperman’s Bittersoet.
The actress appeared alongside Niël Rademan in the Song and Poetry programs. She has also played starring roles in many productions. Daneel starred in Leon Kruger’s stage play Old Leaves.
Many television viewers know her for appearing in many TV roles and working in at least 14 television shows. The actress joined the SABC2 soap opera 7de Laan playing Linda Jordaan.
At first, she was to play a small recurring role, but her talents earned her a significant stint. She played Linda Jordaan in 7de Laan, Marguerite Brink in Afgrond, Brenda in Alles Malan, and Hester Broodryk in Brenda Die Byl.
The actress has also appeared in many kykNET dramas and comedy productions. She has appeared in Vloeksteen, Die Byl, Spoorloos, Projek Dina, Afgrond and G.I.L.
Estelle Fourie is the role she played in the kykNET soap opera Suidooster. She made her debut in the show on March 21, 2017.
In 2019, the actress starred as the matriarch of the Malan family, Brenda, in the kykNET drama series Alles Malan. She has also played recurring roles in many other productions like the SABC2 telenovela Die Sentrum.
