Frank Rautenbach was born on May 12, 1972, in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
Career
The actor made his film debut in the Regardt van den Bergh-directed biographical drama Faith Like Potatoes in 2006. He appeared in the true story drama Hansie in 2008 as South African cricketer Hansie Cronjé.
Adding to his successful acting career was a lead role as Ken in the biographical film The Bang Bang Club. Frank played Patterson in the martial arts TV series Warrior in 2019.Â
In 2000, he landed a role in season one of the Afrikaans soap opera 7de Laan. He has also appeared in movies like The Bang Bang Club, The Film-Maker’s Son, and Mr Johnson.
Frank released his first book, The Vagabond, in South Africa in October 2018. He landed a recurring role of a businessman in cahoots Patterson in the Cinemax martial arts series Warrior in 2019.
In December 2019, he appeared as JP Vermeulen on the kykNET soap opera Suidooster and made his debut in season five, episode 194.
