Lusanda Mbane (born Lusanda C. Sangoni; 16 May 1979) is a South African actress, radio personality, and speaker. The popular face on television was also a brand ambassador and many television viewers know her as Boniswa Langa.

She played the role of one of the most-watched television series in the country and the e.tv soap opera Scandal!

Though that was not the only role that brought her to the limelight, Lusanda is known for playing the role of Naomi Malotana on Generations.

Though she played the role for a short time, for barely a year, Lusanda managed to make fans fall in love with the character and herself.

The popular face on television was born on 16 May 1979 in Butterworth, Eastern Cape, South Africa. Lusanda Mbane is 41 years old.

Education

She had her high school education at Clarendon Girls’ High School, East London. In 1998, Lusanda furthered her academic pursuit at the Technikon Witwatersrand studying for a diploma in marketing. She completed the course with the University of South Africa (UNISA)

Later, she studied towards a B.Com Marketing, also with the same higher institution, University of South Africa.

Many fans, crush, and television viewers are curious if she is married asking who is Lusanda Mbane’s husband? Lusanda is married to Luzuko and they have been a married couple for over fifteen years. Their union is blessed with two children; Liqhawe and Lihlome.

Career

She has appeared on several series on the screens of South Africa. Lusanda has also done commercials for clients who are big brands. As a voice-over artist, she has worked for big names like Google, Edgars, KFC, DStv. and others.

In February 2013, she became the face and voice of South African Airways’ in-flight safety video. The same year, she landed the role of MaKhumalo in The Khumalos. She appeared in Vodacom’s “Brand Ambassador” family, for two years, until 2015.

In 2009, she kicked off her career in acting with the role of Advocate Macheke on Muvhango. She played the cameo role on the SABC2 soap opera.

The following year, Lusanda landed her “breakout role” Naomi on one of the most-watched and talked about series in the country, Generations. Though she appeared on the show for a year, 2010-2011, she has managed to gain popularity within the time.

The door opened for her and opportunities came knocking, the actress received them with open arms. She landed a guest-starring role in the season two premiere of Soul City. On the show which aired on October 18, 2011, she was cast as Joyce.

She played the starring role of Zodwa in Abo Mzala, an SABC1 sitcom. The show premiered in December 2011 but she did not continue on the show and left after season one.

On the SABC1 drama series Tempy Pushas, Mbane played the role of Aliah. The show premiered in February 2013.

Still, in 2013, she appeared on season three of Isibaya, Lusanda played the role (cameo) of a doctor on the Mzansi Magic soap opera.

The acting role that follows is a guest-starring role in Dream World. She was cast as Penny on the SABC1 romantic comedy series. The same year (2016), she appeared on the show Sokhulu & Partners, a legal drama series playing the role (guest starring) of Nobuhle Pasha.

She later was cast on Scandal! playing a recurring role of Boniswa on the e.tv soap opera. The next role was a guest-starring role as Sis Puleng in Z’bondiwe. Lusanda appeared in the twentieth episode of the second season of the e.tv drama series.

She also played the role of Thembi Mdlalose on Isibaya, making it the second time she is appearing on the show after Season three.
