In 1980, the family dropped three albums with Gallo. During his lifetime, Israel has worked as a producer, composer, singer, and the Chief Executive Officer of Kgabo Music.

Demise

On Monday 11 January 2021, his wife Millicent Mosehla told TshisaLIVE of the death of Gospel star Israel Linda Mosehla. He died at the age of 50.

“Yes, Israel has passed on,” Millicent said, adding that a family spokesperson would be appointed to share more details.”

Career

In the 1980s, his family dropped three (3) albums with Gallo, Isreal considered himself blessed with a father who understood and loved music.

Along with his brother, he underwent a formal musical education by ten (10). They attended the Five Roses Bowl to study Music Theory, Piano, and Violin.

In 1985, Isreal, Isaiah, his brother, and Bongani Matsobane & Jabu Nkabinde, his friends, formed “G. Effect”, a musical group.

The group released two (2) albums Semonyollane’ and Siyagudumisa was produced by Sizwe Zako.

The album Reyaholeboha became a hit after it was released under Amanxusa Music Production. 

He later was opportune to work with several big names in the industry including Benjamin Dube, Victor Masondo, Sipho Big Fish Makhabane, Rev James Cleveland, Rebecca Malope, Sizwe Zako, and many more. 

Together with G-Effect, Israel went on tour with the United States of America, the UK, and Brazil for two (2) years (2003 – 2005).

The group held a live performance in New York, Chicago, Ohio, Dallas, and London.

In July 2005, Israel collaborated with The Temptations on a concert at Freedom Festival hosted by Calvary Temple in the USA.

The concert made headlines ‘that G-Effect featured the Temptation’ the following day. This turned out to be a great breakthrough recorded by Israel and his group.

Performances

He held several music workshops all around South Africa including Free State Province: Sasolburg, Bloemfontein, Parys, and Frankfort. Isreal also did several music workshops in other countries including Botswana and Swaziland.

Israel has also gone on tour in several countries including Zambia, Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho, Senegal, Zimbabwe, and many more.

He also took home the Crown Gospel Award in the category of Best Gospel Male.
