Gerrie Pretorius was born on 19 October 1977 in Mossel Bay, a harbor town in Western Cape, South Africa.
Career
Singing
The Afrikaans singer started his music journey in 2001. He dropped the album Ek sing vir jou Ble in 2007, in memory of Bles Bridges, a South African singer who died in 2000.
Gerrie traveled through the country with Belgian singer Dana Winner, as part of her Platinum World tour. He has held many performances in other countries outside Africa. He has performed many times in the Netherlands.
Pretorius performs a duet with Anny Schilder, a former singer of BZN. The multi-gold and platinum singer has performed on many major local stages and festivals. He has also performed in other countries.
After his debut platinum recording Annemarie, he dropped other hits like Adio Amore, 7 Sondes, and the Stormers. Some of the overseas artists he worked with include Dana Winner, Christoff, and Anny Schilder.
