Hulisani Ravele was born on January 23, 1988, in Tshiawelo Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa. Her parents had three children, of which she is the youngest. She has an older brother and an older sister.
Her father, Mr. Ravele, taught her many things. He made her know the importance of doing what you love. She mentioned that her father was working under a car when a jag lost balance and fell on him. He passed away in 2014.
In an interview, she says her mother is her role model. Ravele learned perseverance, hard work, and humility from her. She gained confidence as she grew up and fell in love with television.

Hulisani Ravele is a television presenter and voice artist. She is best known as a YOTV presenter and made her television debut on the SABC1 show Pula & Friends.
At eleven, Ravele joined the SABC1 daily youth programming block YOTV as a presenter. In November 2008, she quit her job in YOTV to be a trainee publicist and marketing assistant at SABC1.
Although many know her for working at SABC1, Ravele has worked with other media companies. She does the Sunday night show, My House, aired on 5FM.
For two months, she was the presented behind the thirteen-episode SABC1 game show Quiz Me. The seasoned broadcaster hosts 947 Weekend Breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays from 7-10 am.
Hulisani has over twenty-five years of television experience in live and pre-recorded formats. She was on the SABC1 and SABC2 music talk show Zaziwa.
