Early Life
Fezile Makhanya was born on July 13, 1984, in Esikhawini, now called Esikhaleni, in KwaZulu-Natal. He comes from an entrepreneurial family. His parents advised and supported him while he grew up.
Growing up, Makhanya developed an interest in rugby and athletics. He was so devoted and passionate about sports. He received a scholarship to study at a prestigious school in Durban.
Education
As a sports enthusiast, Nkosifezile loved sports and played rugby and athletics. His talent earned him a scholarship to study at Glenwood High School in Durban.
After his matriculation, Nkosifezile attended the University of South Africa. He majored in Financial Risk Management. The talented actor also completed the registered person exam in Equities.
Career
Nkosifezile journey in the entertainment industry started when he did an advert for Ricoffy. Later, he became a video jockey for Channel O.
Throughout his acting journey, he has appeared in many television shows like E.tv soap opera Backstage. He also appeared in the crime series Jozi Streets.
On Generations and Gaz’lam, Nkosifezile played cameo roles. His love for sports earned him the leading role of Sbu on the soccer drama series Zone 14.
After a nationwide search for new presenters, Fezile became a brand ambassador for SABC1 in 2006. On July 1, 2006, he started to work as a continuity presenter after competing in the Multilingual category.
SABC1 terminated his contract as a continuity announcer in 2008. He started to host the SABC1 magazine show Countdown 2010 alongside Lebo Motsoeli and Eugene Khoza in June 2008. In 2009, he hosted the E.tv sports game show, No Sweat Golden Goal.
Fezile appeared in season two, episode four of the E.tv drama series eKasi: Our Stories as Ben. He hosted season two of the ONE Gospel reality competition Shine in 2011. He played a guest starring role in an episode of iNkaba, an Mzansi Magic telenovela, in 2012.
In 2015, Fezile also starred as Sandile in season three of the Ferguson Film production Rockville. He made a guest appearance in season four in 2016.
In 2016, Nkosifezile starred as Kuti Daniels in season three of the SABC1 drama series Tempy Pushas.
Alongside Kope Makgae, he hosted the SABC2 game show Fundis in 2017.

Fezile entered the entertainment industry in 2006 after quitting a rugby scholarship. He moved into showbiz and got his first onscreen role after featuring in Ricoffy adverts. Later, he joined Channel O as VJ.
