Fully-funded Scholarships in Cyprus Without IELTS:

The scholarships available in Cyprus are mostly partially funded as the fully funded scholarships are reserved for Ph.D. students. But, students can get fully-funded scholarships at the under and postgraduate levels as well.

#1 Scholarships by Cyprus International Institute of Management:

Students at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels can apply for these scholarships of Cyprus that are available in the subject areas of finance, HR, public policy, and business administration. The number of fully-funded scholarships is seven (with a total worth 82,000 EUR). The IELTS is not required to apply for this Cyprus International Institute scholarship.

There are 50 partially-funded Cyprus scholarships as well. The partial scholarships offer a tuition fee waiver of up to 50%. Students will be selected on the basis of their academic excellence, personality characteristics, and scholarship interview performance.

#2 Dean’s Awards by the Cyprus Institute:

Students pursuing a Ph.D. in the Cyprus Institute can apply for the Dean’s Distinguished Award which is given to students from the fields of environmental sciences, and atmospheric and computational sciences. This Cyprus scholarship funding goes on for the whole duration of the program and covers the students’ tuition and bench fees (up to 16,000 EUR), and offers a monthly stipend (14,000 EUR a year).

It also provides the international students a one-time airfare to travel to Cyprus from their home countries. The applicants will have to submit the test scores of IELTS and GRE in order to be eligible for application.

#3 Scholarships by the University of West Scotland (North Cyprus Branch):

International students who are pursuing a master’s in any field at the University of West Scotland in Cyprus can apply for these Cyprus scholarships. These are funded by the Management Centre of the Mediterranean (MCMED).

The University of West Scotland does not require IELTS for admissions. It offers a tuition fee waiver of up to 75% (starting from 25%) based on the candidates’ overall academic profile.

#4 University of Nicosia Scholarships

The University of Nicosia offers scholarships and financial aid to full-time students, in the form of academic merit scholarships, financial aid assistance, athletic scholarships, and on-campus work-study programmes. IELTS is not required for admission to the University of Nicosia. The exact allowance will be determined based on the student’s family income and other socio-economic criteria.

#5 Doctoral Scholarships at the University of Cyprus:

These doctoral awards are available in the subject areas of political and social sciences. This Cyprus scholarship is for the incoming cohort and hence current students are not eligible to apply. The amount of the scholarship is 12,000 EUR per year which will be given in the form of a monthly stipend of 1,333 EUR for a period of nine months (as the scholarship doesn’t offer a stipend for summer months).

The applicants at the University of Cyprus do not need to submit IELTS for admission. Recipients will also be eligible for an additional grant of 800 EUR which will fund their international trips for research purposes.

#6 University of Cyprus Scholarships

The University of Cyprus announces Full and Partial scholarships for new applicants in a conventional Ph.D. programme. These Cyprus scholarships are based on academic merit and are either full scholarships (i.e. tuition fees and an annual stipend of equal to €8.000) or partial scholarships (i.e. full coverage of tuition fees). The University of Cyprus also announces Partial scholarships for new applicants in a conventional Master’s degree programme. These scholarships are based on academic merit and cover 50% of tuition fees.

#7 Scholarships by University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN):

This scholarship is available to students who are pursuing a BSc. in the subject area of mathematics at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). UCLan is the overseas branch of an English university. IELTS exam is not a mandatory requirement for admissions at the University of Central Lancashire. The top ten candidates will be awarded a partial tuition fee waiver. The waiver is given for up to 50% of the whole tuition fee.

#9 Scholarships by the Neapolis University:

Incoming students who want to study bachelor’s in civil engineering can apply for this Cyprus scholarship by Neapolis University. There are ten Cyprus scholarships available and the scholarship is given in the form of a tuition fee waiver (10% to 50%).

The good thing is the IELTS exemption for admission at Neapolis University. Students who are applying for this scholarship should have excellent marks in mathematics and physics in their high school exams.
