Lindi Sirame (born in Venda) is a South African news anchor. She has gained popularity over her journey in Journalism and boasts of over ten years (a decade) of experience. Her natural skill at current affairs gave her an edge in her career, she went for an audition at UJFM. Among other hopefuls, she auditioned for a news-reading position.
In her words, she has had the opportunity to build her career at YFM, ANN7, BBC Africa, Kaya FM, Metro FM, and Newzroom Africa. She has managed to work with these big names in the media industry and in return built her profession over the decade.

Background
She was born in a small village of Mukula located outside Thohoyandou in Venda. Sirame grew up under the care of her grandmother. Her grandmother worked in Bramley, Johannesburg, as a domestic worker.
Education
She had her tertiary academic pursuit at the University of Johannesburg. In the university, she studied for a degree in Journalism.
Metro FM
The actress had always wanted to be a member of the Metro FM family. In an interview session, she revealed that she spent two years sending her demo to the station. She repeated it, hope, and waited for an opportunity.
She also says that she has had a great experience so far but is faced with the challenge of being at a new place of work during a pandemic.
In April 2020, she scored the new gig to replace Mabotja on the afternoon drive show The Kings Suite with Sphectacula and DJ Naves.
Personal life
The popular media personality is “obsessed with hair”, according to Sirame, her wigs are her most prized possessions. So if you want to make her day, get her a wig.
Her partner is a radio Disk Jockey, he often plays at clubs. Though she dislikes them and crowded spaces get her irritable.
She doesn’t like to drive, especially to stay on the wheel to a long distance. In peak traffic, the Venda-born media personality even suffers from motion sickness.

The news anchor Sirame is in a relationship with DJ Sabby, a popular radio personality. The couple met at YFM, at the time Sirame was reading on his show when he worked on weekends. According to her, Sabby extremely supports her. The love they shared made them a son.
Career
In 2010, she launched her radio when she became a news anchor on UJFM. At the time she was studying for a BA in Journalism at the university.
She discovered her interest in Journalism during her high school days. In her year of matriculation, she had not decided on what to study. Every day, she watched the thirty minutes news show on SABC news.
Growing up with her grandmother, she played a credible role in her career choice. Apart from her profession on radio, she is a news anchor on Newzroom Afrika. She co-hosts the show Your View with JJ Tabane on Newzroom Afrika, still, radio remains her first love.
