Biography
Romain Folz (born June 28, 1990) is a French football manager. He is the current head coach of Ama Zulu F.C.
The Frenchman has managed teams in Africa and Europe and has some achievements to his name. He worked for Township Rollers in Botswana before Marumo Gallants in South Africa.
Folz assisted coach Corentim Martins with managing Mauritania to their first AFCON qualifications in 2019 and 2021. Folz worked with Martins at the second of those Nations Cups.

Early Life
Romain Folz was born on June 28, 1990, in Bordeaux, France and is of Moroccan extraction.
Career
Romain Folz became the manager of the American soccer team West Virginia United in 2018. He became the assistant manager of the Uganda national football team in 2019.
The Egyptian professional Football Club Pyramid Football Club appointed him as assistant manager.
In 2020, the Ghanaian club Bechem United appointed him the team’s manager. Later, he became the assistant manager of Chamois Niort Football Club in France.
The Ghanaian team Ashanti Gold made him the club’s manager in 2021. Botswanan Township Rollers Football Club appointed him as their manager in 2021.
Folz joined the South African side Marumo Gallants as a manager in 2022. He had a brief and unsuccessful stint with Marumo Gallants in the 2022-23 season of the DStv Premiership. He left the team with accusations of interference in team selections.
Later he left the football club for Ama Zulu F.C., making it his second South African team this season.Â
Although some of his players are older than he is, Folz says he had similar experiences in former teams and that it does not make much of a difference.
