Gogo Dineo (born 10 June 1981) is a renowned South African sangoma, spiritual teacher, and life coach. She is well-known for working as a spiritualist.
She is widely known as a ‘celebrity sangoma’ for her close relationship with some big names in the country. The spiritual teacher has been seen with the likes of Masechaba Ndlovu and Boity Thulo.
Apart from her spiritual niche, Gogo Dineo is a professional African storyteller, dancer, poet, facilitator, and writer. She has been featured on television and radio.
In an Instagram post, Gogo shared that she has been a facilitator for over 20 years.

Early Life
Gogo Dineo was born on 10 June 1981 in Alexandra, a township in Gauteng, South Africa.
She has a strong passion to restore the dignity of traditional healing. The celebrated healer believes that the influences of the westerners resulted in the practice being shunned.
She was born into a Christian family, and after receiving a scholarship to study, her calling started to show signs. Her voice began to change and often she would go into trances.
Gogo Dineo grew up in a Christian family in her maternal grandfather’s home. Whenever the ancestral spirits were evoked, trying to keep her under control becomes a waste of time.
During an interview session with Move!, Gogo shared the story of being a new-age traditional healer. According to her, she was taken to a mental institution where she spent half a year. She was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy.
Whenever music is being played in church, her voice would change and she would enter into a state of trance. In the interview, sangoma explained that her family had a tough time since they did not understand what was going on.

During her teenage days, she received a scholarship to attend The American International School, Bryanston.

She has appeared on the local screen and her voice has been heard on local radio stations. Gogo is popular on the media and has her Heal Your Life Series on Power FM 98.7.
She appears on Metro FM every last Tuesday of the month on the Fresh Breakfast show. Gogo has also been featured on 702, Radio 2000, and Kaya FM. On television, she has also made notable appearances like on the show Daily Thetha.

Embracing healing powers
Years passed before she could accept and understand her gift, healing powers. During her years as a teenager, she could do things normal kids couldn’t, like palm reading for her friends.
When she was twenty-nine, she accepted her gift at the time she was already a wife and mother.
She remained in initiation school for ten months and did within her best abilities to remain normal. After trying to, it didn’t work. She embraced her calling, today she couldn’t be more proud of her gift.

The renowned personality has the interest of people with similar callings at heart. In 2016, she set up the Gogo Dineo Institute of Healing to train sangoma initiates who have a calling.

In December 2019, News 24 reported that Gogo was going through a divorce. She and her husband ended the marital relationship after a decade and four (14) years of marriage.
Though many know her as Gogo Dineo Ndlanzi, she dropped the surname after the divorce. Their union was blessed with four children Sibusiso, Sabelo, Samukeliso, and Siya.
