Early Life And Education 

Habeeb Olalomi Oyegbile who is famously known as Portable was born on the 12th of March, 1994 in Abeokuta, Ogun State in Nigeria. Being a native of the southwest, he was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Okikiola. 

Portable was raised in Abeokuta and adhered to the Muslim faith as he was taught by his father and mother. While growing up, Portable got inclined to music and was massively influenced by indigenous rappers like Dagrin, CDQ, and Olamide.

He attended Iganmode Grammar School at Oju Ore, Ota before proceeding to Kwara State Polytechnic. But Portable was not able to conclude with his education and immediately opted for his music career.

Personal Life

Portable’s personal life has always been a mystery given his private status. However, there are rumors that he is in a relationship with a lady named Zainab Badmusi who he welcomed his third child named Opeyemu Oluwa.

Career

Portable started his music career at a young age when he was influenced by rap songs by popular foreign artists such as Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Tupac. As a result of the rise of various indigenous rap artists like Olamide and CDQ, he decided to switch to Yoruba rap and became a musician.

Portable moved to Lagos State to succeed in the music industry. While in Lagos, he sought producers who he could work with and he composed new rap songs. Despite recording several songs, Portable wasn’t successful at the time but he had a huge opportunity when he met with his music idol, Olamide.

His big move came in 2021 when he was able to work with dancer and recording artist, Poco Lee and prominent artist and idol, Olamide in the song “Zazuu Zeh”. The song became a massive hit and quickly went viral with a lot of fans loving it.
